HOW YOUR FIRST TREATMENT WITH US WORKS

YOUR FIRST VISIT

1. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

2. FILL IN THE MEDICAL HISTORY FORM

  • After your booking, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with the booked dates and the medical history form, incl. data protection and patient information sheet.
  • Please fill it out and send it back to us by e-mail or bring it with you to your first appointment. If you would like to fill it out on site, please allow 15 minutes in advance.
  • Take your time for this. We will ask you about your current and previous state of health. We need this information to get an initial holistic picture of you.
  • If you already have diagnostic images (X-ray, CT, MRI, etc.) or medical findings, please bring these with you.

3. INITIAL ANAMNESIS:

YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT AT THE PRACTICE

  • First of all, we will listen to you carefully: in addition to describing your health problems, it can be helpful if you give us an insight into your professional, family and private life and information about your dietary, sports and leisure habits. We will not only discuss your current complaints, but also any previous illnesses, operations and accidents in order to be able to take possible correlations into account during subsequent treatment.
  • During your initial anamnesis, we analyze your posture, body statics and balance using orthopedic, neurological and special chiropractic examination methods.
  • By closely observing movement behavior and palpating the spine and pelvis, we check the mobility of the affected joints and thus identify the individual causes of your impairments.
  • You will then receive your first adjustment.
  • Wear loose clothing on every visit.

4. ADJUSTMENT

YOUR SECOND APPOINTMENT WITH US

  • At your second appointment, we will first discuss the results of our examinations and your possible treatment plan with you.
  • Once all questions have been clarified by both sides and the results and indicators from the first appointment have been confirmed, you will now receive your second detailed adjustment.
  • So that we can concentrate particularly well on you and your nervous system, you should always remain calm during an adjustment. You will also be able to process the adjustment better if you are more relaxed.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED TO PLAN FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

The length of the appointment does not describe the duration of the actual chiropractic treatment. Depending on the findings and diagnosis, this can take 45 minutes at your first appointment and between 30 and 45 minutes at your second appointment (both together make up the initial anamnesis). The follow-up appointments take about 15 minutes.

HOW OFTEN AND FOR HOW LONG DO I NEED TREATMENT?

The aim of chiropractic treatment is not just to relieve acute pain and symptoms, but rather to find and treat the cause that triggered these symptoms in the first place. Even if the pain or symptoms are relieved after just a few treatments, the healing process is not yet complete.

The healing phases can take different lengths of time depending on the type and duration of the individual medical history. As a general rule, the longer the symptoms have been present, the longer the treatment can take. Please also read about this here nach.

WELCHE KOSTEN KOMMEN AUF MICH ZU?

Chiropractic contributes significantly to your health. The costs for this are not yet covered by most statutory health insurance companies. Please ask your health insurance company in advance whether they will cover a share of the costs.

We issue our invoices in accordance with the fees for alternative practitioners. Private health insurance companies, subsidies or supplementary insurances usually cover a proportion of the costs. Experience has shown that these costs are covered by all private health insurance companies in 90% of cases. To be on the safe side, we recommend that you enquire with your health insurance company in advance. We assume no responsibility for the extent to which costs are covered, as this depends on the individual contractual provisions of your (supplementary) insurance.

Taxpayers and patients with statutory health insurance may be able to deduct the costs from their taxes as healthcare costs or “extraordinary expenses”. Ask your tax advisor for more information.

We ask you to pay for your treatment on the day of treatment in cash or by major debit or credit card or Amex.
